Welcome to this wonderfully disarming portfolio which opens a door into my life! As I approach the culmination of my education (so far), it behooves me to give some context to the writings you may find yourself engaging with.
My Story
I’m a 37-year-old who was born to a single, Cuban mother who immigrated to the U.S. and to whom I owe everything. I am strong in my Christian faith, and have a passion for reading and writing, which initially led me to pursue a career in teaching English at the community college level. I had elected to pursue a college education as I was approaching 30-years-old, and that road took me through Golden West College in Huntington Beach, CA - a community college. It is a system I believe in and would love to eventually repay. Although my career path has shifted, I still aim to utilize my background and experience as a facilitator in my field. I'm excited to share my and insights with you!
